SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Highlighted by the addition of two high-end conference opponents in Washington State and Oregon State, the University of San Francisco volleyball team and Head Coach Diogo Silva have officially announced the schedule for the upcoming 2024 season.
 
"I'm genuinely excited as we approach the upcoming season," Silva said. "We have a dynamic, youthful team brimming with talent, and every position is covered with capable replacements, ensuring we maintain our standards throughout. With a tough non-conference and a competitive WCC schedule, we must start preparing now to ensure a great season."
 
Silva enters his fourth season at the helm of the green and gold as San Francisco looks to improve on a tie for sixth-place finish from a season ago. Highlighted by four true freshmen and a handful of experienced transfers, the Dons welcome seven recruits to the squad for their first season on the Hilltop.
 
The schedule features 31 matches, with 12 non-conference and 19 WCC contests across four months of competition. The campaign begins on the road in the Pacific Northwest, competing in the Portland State Tournament, against Portland State, California, and Nevada from Friday, Aug. 30 – Saturday, Aug. 31.
 
The Dons continue their early-season road trip in Northern California, participating in the Sacramento State Tournament on Thursday, Sept. 5 – Saturday, Sept. 7.
 
Four straight matches end the non-conference road slate when the Dons take on Houston Christian, UTRGV, Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, and San Jose State.
 
San Francisco competes at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center for the first time when the Dons host the USF Challenge from Friday, Sept. 20 – Saturday, Sept. 21. The two-day event features contents against Air Force and Seattle U to conclude non-conference play.
 
San Francisco kicks off league play on the road at Santa Clara on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Leavey Center before hosting two straight contests on the Hilltop against Saint Mary's and LMU.
 
After a matchup at Portland on Thursday, Oct. 10, the Dons take on Oregon State for the first time in program history when they travel to take on the Beavers on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Gill Coliseum. The green and gold face off against the Beavers for a second time later in the campaign on Saturday, Nov. 9, at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.
 
Defending WCC champion Pepperdine concludes a three-match homestand when the Dons face off against the Waves on the Hilltop on Thursday, Oct. 24.
 
Concluding its home slate in the backend of the season, San Francisco takes on Santa Clara on Wednesday, Nov. 20, and San Diego on Saturday, Nov. 23.
 
The Dons conclude the regular season on the road when they take on Washington State on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Bohler Gym and Gonzaga on Saturday, Nov. 30, at Charlotte Y. Martin Centre.
