Earning Rawlings WCC Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, finished the week with two doubles, two home runs, seven RBI, and six runs scored.
- In the extra-inning victory at Nevada on Monday, Apr. 14, Esquivel recorded three hits, a career-high five RBI, and posted the go-ahead three-run home run in the top of the 10th inning in the Dons' 11-8 win. He followed with six hits in the three-game series at Pacific, highlighted by a three-for-four performance with a home run on Saturday, Apr. 19.
- In 31 appearances and 24 starts this season, Esquivel ranks first among qualified batters on the team in slugging percentage (.608) and home runs (eight), second on the team in batting average (.294), and fourth in doubles (eight). His home run total also ranks tied for fourth in the WCC and second among freshmen.
- In his first games back since missing the last two weeks due to injury, Patrick Keighran compiled a .385 batting average at Pacific with three of his five hits leaving the ballpark. Totaling three home runs throughout the series, Keighran posted two home runs in the narrow 8-6 loss to the Tigers last Friday, marking his second-career multi-homer game in his four-year career.
- Gabriel Barrett pitched well for the Dons against the Tigers, appearing in two games and earning the start on the mound in the series opener. Barrett pitched 3.2 innings, allowing no earned runs on three hits, and totaled a team-best six strikeouts.
- As a team, San Francisco recorded nine home runs last week, with eight coming in the three-game series at Pacific. In Saturday's series finale, the Dons connected on a season-best five long balls, the most in a game for the team in over 13 years. Kenny DeCelle, Trevor Harmon, JT Amaral, Keighran, and Esquivel all succeeded with the long ball throughout the game.

- Coming off the series loss at home to the Aztecs, the Spartans slipped to fifth place in the Mountain West Conference standings with an 8-10 record.
- The Spartans continue to be a solid offensive team late in the season, as three players are hitting .300 or better. Alex Fernandes leads the program with a .355 batting average, while Jake McCoy and Zachary Chamizo are hitting .306.
- On the mound, Jesse Gutierrez has posted a team-best 2.36 earned-run average, allowing seven earned runs in 26.2 innings. EJ McGrew leads the pitching staff with a 5-1 record while recording an impressive 3.80 ERA.
