SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Despite a late rally, the University of San Francisco baseball team (18-25, 6-11 WCC) dropped a 4-1 West Coast Conference decision to Pepperdine (11-32, 6-11 WCC) Saturday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond.

- Pepperdine struck first in the first inning as Justin Rubin recorded an RBI single for an early 1-0 lead.
- After back-to-back scoreless frames, a two-run home run off the bat of Andrew Savage extended the Waves' lead to 3-0 in the top of the fourth. Another run came across for Pepperdine in the seventh to push the margin to 4-0.
- San Francisco got on the board in the final inning, as consecutive doubles from Patrick Keighran and Eddison Esquivel plated the Dons' first run.
- Despite a late rally, loading the bases with no outs in the bottom of the ninth, the Dons' failed to plate another run as the Waves secured the 4-1 victory with an inning-ending double play.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
