SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Following a successful 2026 regular season, four players from the University of San Francisco baseball team, Zack Ramppen, Kai Yovanovich, Quentin Pohroski, and Jared Lewis, earned West Coast Conference All-Conference Honorable Mention selections, announced by the league on Tuesday morning.
For San Francisco, all four players honored by the conference earned All-WCC recognition for the first time in their careers.
Ramppen helped guide San Francisco throughout the campaign, appearing in 39 games with 33 starts behind the plate. He broke out offensively this season, recording a career-best .305 batting average, with 36 hits in 118 at-bats, six doubles, one home run, and nine RBI. In 22 WCC contests, Ramppen impressed and led the program with a .394 batting average, fourth-best in the conference, and is one of four players to hit .390 or better during league games. The senior from New Canaan, Conn., posted 10 multi-hit games, including a career-best four-for-five performance in the win at Saint Mary's on May 14. Defensively, Ramppen was one of the best catchers in the conference, throwing out four runners in 10 caught stealing attempts.
In his final season on the Hilltop, Yovanovich paced San Francisco's pitching staff, recording a team-low 1.95 earned run average, allowing six runs on 13 hits in 27.2 innings pitched, while posting a perfect 4-0 record. The graduate right-hander earned his first win on the mound this season at San Jose State on February 20, pitching four innings out of the bullpen, the longest outing of his career, and totaled five strikeouts to lead the Dons to a 7-6 victory in extra innings. In three years with the green and gold, Yovanovich totaled a 5-0 record and an impressive 2.70 earned run average in 36.2 innings of work.
Pohorski was another solid arm out of the Dons' bullpen this season, accumulating a 1-1 record, 2.83 earned run average, 47 strikeouts, seven saves, and holding opponents to a .170 batting average in 41.1 innings. He earned his first-career start on March 8 against UMass Lowell and pitched four solid innings, striking out four batters. His seven saves this season marked a career best for the graduate right-hander, ranking second most on the team and fifth in the WCC.
Joining the green and gold for his first season in 2026, Lewis appeared in 41 games and earned the start in 38, primarily at second base. In 138 at-bats, he recorded a .274 batting average, third-best on the team, four doubles, one home run, 18 RBI, and scored 18 runs. Solid in the lead-off position, Lewis hit .250 with 16 hits in 64 at-bats, two doubles, and totaled seven RBI while batting first in the lineup. Lewis continued his success in conference play, batting .321 and recording a .434 on-base percentage.
