UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON: Two-time Second-Team All-Pac-10/Pac-12 Academic team. 

PREP CAREER: Played baseball at Puyallup High School ... his junior season he went 7-2, with an 1.30 ERA, 44k's, 3BB's in 38 innings ... He also threw a no-hitter, followed by a one-hitter ... was named First-Team All-State as a senior after going 10-2 with a 1.02 ERA, 80k's, 10BB's in 75 innings ... had a 3.96 GPA ... participated in running start program and graduated high school with an AA degree.
