2016 (RS JUNIOR): Earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors... took home WCC All-Academic recognition... enjoyed a breakout year in his first season of full-time action... started 40 of the 52 games he appeared in... hit .289 with 10 doubles, two triples and 21 RBI on the year... made most of his starts as the designated hitter, while also making appearances all around the outfield...
put together a season-long 13-game hitting streak - which was the 2nd-longest streak on the team - between Feb. 26 - Mar. 16... hit .340 (18-53) with a double, 10 RBI and six stolen bases during his streak... had the 3rd-most multi-hit games on the team (10)... went 2-for-4 with
two doubles at Pacific (Mar. 25) for his only game with multiple extra-base hits... went a season-best 3-for-5 with two RBI at Cal Poly (Mar. 6)... matched his season-high with a 3-for-4 day with a double and a run scored at Sacramento State (Mar. 22)... went 2-for-4 with a season-high three RBI at UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 20)... tied for 2nd on the team by stealing 12 bases in 18 attempts... stole a season-best two bases twice: at Cal (Mar. 29) and vs. San Diego (Apr. 22)... went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI in his final collegiate game at Fresno State (May 20)... won the team's Greg Moore Inspirational Award.
2015 SUMMER: Played with the Newark Pilots of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League... hit .267 in 44 games... registered five doubles, three triples and 15 RBI... stole 20 bases and scored 22 runs.
2015 (RS SOPHOMORE): Played in 37 games, making two starts... hit .207 in 29 at bats... had a double and five RBI... scored nine runs and was 6-for-10 in stolen bases... had a season-high two hits in back-to-back games (vs. Nevada, Apr. 13; at UC Davis, Apr. 14)... drove in season-best three runs at Santa Clara (Apr. 2).
2014 SUMMER: Played for the Kitsap Bluejackets with Dons teammates with Matt Narahara and Ryan Matranga... second on the team with eight stolen bases and hit .257 in 70 at bats.
2014 (RS FRESHMAN): Primarily used as a pinch runner... got into 12 games, scoring three runs... had his first collegaite at bat on Mar. 26 against No. 7 Oregon.
2013 (FRESHMAN): Redshirted.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Pete Weymiller at Peninsula High School… was an All-South Puget Sound League outfielder three years in a row... named team MVP as a junior and senior... hit .472 with a .562 OBP his senior year... named Washington State Coaches Association All-State... hit at a .491 clip as a junior... won the team Coaches Award his sophomore year after hitting .352... also lettered one year in football… played summer ball in the Seattle Premier League, earning all-league honors two years in a row.
PERSONAL: Born June 24, 1993 in Tacoma, Wash…. parents are Scott and Jane Valley... majoring in finance with a minor in economics... graduated high school with a 3.9 GPA... was a four-time SPSL Scholar Athlete winner and took home the PHS Student Athlete Award.
