**2020 (SOPHOMORE): Did not allow a run in four appearances out of the bullpen during the Dons' shortened season ... Had seven strikeouts against four walks and held opponents to a .083 batting average in 3 2/3 total innings of work ... Threw 1 2/3 innings of shutout relief versus Mount St. Mary's in his longest outing of the year on March 3 during the Dons' 8-2 victory ... Also logged 2/3 of shutout work versus California at home on March 7 ... Recorded at least one strikeout in each of his appearances, matching a career high with three strikeouts in one inning at San Jose State on Feb. 25.

2019 (FRESHMAN): Made six appearances in relief during his first year on The Hilltop ... College career debut came on March 16 versus Portland, where he faced three batters and threw 12 pitches ... Longest outing of the season came at Nevada when he threw 1 1/3 innings with a season-high three strikeouts ... Also had a strikeout in an inning of work at UC Davis during the Dons' 19-14 midweek win (April 22) ... Finished the year with an 18.69 ERA, four strikeouts, nine walks and no decisions in 4 1/3 total innings of work. 

HIGH SCHOOL: A two-sport athlete in football and baseball, and a two-way player on the diamond in four varsity letter-winning seasons at Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Ariz. ... Was ranked among Perfect Game's top-500 recruits in the country, and was considered the No. 5 left-handed pitcher in the state (ranked 34th overall for Arizona pitchers) ... Was named a 2018 Perfect Game Preseason All-Region Honorable Mention ... A four-year member of the varsity pitching staff for the Sabercats, throwing over 115 innings and collecting nine victories while totaling 118 strikeouts (more than 1.0 K per inning) during his prep career ... Dazzled as a freshman for SHS, going 4-0 with a 2.26 ERA and striking out 21 in 21 2/3 innings ... Posted his highest career strikeout numbers as a senior in 2018, setting down 44 batters in 43 2/3 frames ... Had a sub-4.00 ERA in three of his four high school seasons, including two sub-3.00 ERAs as a freshman and a sophomore in 2015 and '16 ... Helped the Sabercats make an Arizona Interscholastic Association state playoffs appearance in his senior year of 2018 ... Also played defensive end and some halfback for the perennial champion Saguaro HS football team ... The Sabercats won three straight AIA state titles while Cowdrey was a member of the team and went a combined 38-4 during his three varsity seasons from 2015-17.
