2022 (REDSHIRT SENIOR): Played in 48 games and started 32 times for the Dons…stole five bases against St. Johns, the only player on the team to do so in one game, for his season best on 3/6/2022…had a total of 26 stolen bases on the year…recorded his season high of three hits against Sacramento State on 3/15/2022…hit his singular homerun of the season in a win against San Diego on 4/2/2022.
2021 (REDSHIRT JUNIOR): Appeared in 50 games and started 40 for the Dons as he emerged as one of the conference's best base stealers finishing tied for first with fellow teammate Luke Keaschall with 23 bags stolen in his first year in green and gold. Set the program record for stolen bases in a game with four in USF's home victory over San José State on April 6...Foster hit his first home run for USF in the team's home victory over Fresno State on March 2.Â
**2020 (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE): Played in 14 games with four starts in the outfield during the Dons' shortened season ... Made his USF debut on Opening Day at CSUN, entering as a pinch-hitter and drawing a walk (Feb. 14) ... Earned his first hit in the Green & Gold in the Dons' first home game on Feb. 18, hitting a first-inning double and later scoring, and also drawing a bases-loaded walk for his first RBI of the year, in a 6-0 win over UC Davis ... Biggest hit of the year came in his second-to-last game - He stepped to the plate as a pinch-hitter in the top of the 10th in a tie game at California, and proceeded to hit a three-run home run on the third pitch he saw to give the Dons an eventual series-clinching 8-3 win ... Finished the year batting .200 (4 for 20) with five RBIs, seven runs scored, two doubles, a home run, five walks and a stolen base.Â
PRIOR TO USF:Â Foster, who originally signed out of high school in 2016-17 with national powerhouse Oregon State, came to California by way of Georgia and most recently, nearby Contra Costa College ... His speed was on display during his lone year of junior college ball in 2019 at Contra Costa College. He stole 38 bases and scored 34 runs in 39 games, also flashing power with five doubles, six triples and two home runs with 15 RBIs ... Out of high school, "Perfect Game" ranked him as the 376th overall recruit in the country (2017) and gave him a grade of nine out of 10, which in the website's grading system meant: "Potential top 10 round pick and/or highest level college prospect." ... Had an OPS (On-base Plus Slugging) of over .700 as a junior at Norcross HS in 2016, where he helped the team make the Georgia High School Association 6A Final Four ... He went off in his senior season of 2017, batting .361 with 15 extra-base hits (seven doubles, four triples, four home runs), 22 RBIs and 24 stolen bases, earning himself first team all-league and second team all-county honors ... As a sophomore in 2015 at Lambert High School in Suwanee, Ga., he batted .379 and boasted an OPS of over 1.120, earning him a spot one the USA Baseball Under-15 trial team.
