USF (15-13, 8-9 WCC) closes out the regular season on Saturday against conference co-leaders Saint Mary's (23-4, 14-3 WCC). Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. on the Hilltop. The Dons are coming off a 79-70 loss at Pacific on Thursday while the Gaels posted a 75-50 win at Santa Clara.

The MatchupSeries History with Saint Mary'sIn a series that dates back to the 1930-31 season, USF leads the all-time series with Saint Mary's, 99-76. However, the Gaels have won 20 of the last 21 and 25 of the last 28 games in the series dating back to the 2002-03 season, including a 74-52 victory in Moraga earlier this season. Prior to the Gaels recent run of success, USF won seven straight games in the series from 1998-99 to 2001-02. USF's last win in the series came on Feb. 20, 2014 in San Francisco, 73-62, which snapped the Gaels 17-game winning streak in the series. The two schools have also met five times in WCC Tournament play, with the Gaels holding a 4-1 advantage.
First Meeting With Saint Mary'sUSF dropped a 74-52 decision to the Gaels in the West Coast Conference opener for both schools on Dec. 21 in McKeon Pavilion.
Uche Ofoegbu led all USF scorers with 13 points, all which came in the first half, while
Ronnie Boyce III came off the bench to chip in 10. USF's two leading scorers,
Devin Watson and
Tim Derksen, who came into the game averaging 35 points a game, combined for just 10 points on 3-of-25 shooting from the floor. The Gaels made 10-of-23 of their shots from distance and shot 50 percent from the field for the game. USF shot a season-low 28.3 percent (17-of-60) for the game. Evan Fitzner scored a game-high 20 points for Saint Mary's.
Dons' NotebookThe RecordAt 15-13, USF has surpassed its win total from a year ago when the Dons finished 14-18 overall and 7-11 in the WCC. At 8-9 in the WCC, the Dons have clinched fifth place in the WCC standings and will face Pepperdine in the quarterfinals of the WCC Championships next Friday in Las Vegas. The Dons are 6-4 over their last nine games dating back to Jan. 21.

The ComebacksUSF has erased sizeable deficits in three of its eight conference wins this season. Against Pacific, the Dons rallied from a 19-point deficit (43-24; 3:35 1st) to post a 89-76 victory over the Tigers. On New Year's Eve, USF rallied from a 15-point, 81-66 deficit to defeat Portland, 107-95. At Santa Clara, the Dons spotted the Broncos a 13-2 lead out out of the gates and trailed by as many as 15 points (26-11) before rallying for a 74-61 victory. USF has faced deficits of at least 10 points in 15 of 28 games this season, including 11 of 17 conference games
The Wins and LossesOf USF's 15 victories, six have been by a combined total of 23 points (78-75 at Illinois-Chicago; 58-57 vs. UC Riverside; 65-61 CSUN; 96-93 vs. Coppin State; 73-65 at San Diego; 89-86 vs. Santa Clara). USF erased a 19-point deficit to defeat Pacific and rallied from 15 down to defeat both Portland and Santa Clara. The Dons never led in losses to Fresno State, UC Santa Barbara, Montana, Saint Mary's, Pepperdine or Gonzaga and led for only briefly in losses to Eastern Washington and BYU. USF squandered a 16-point lead with 8:49 left to play before falling to Gonzaga at home, 102-94 in overtime and dropped games to BYU and LMU when those two teams combined to make 44 three-pointers. Rare CombinationTim Derksen and Gonzaga's Kyle Wiltjer the only two players in the WCC to rank in the top-10 in scoring, rebounding and three-point percentage. Last Time Out USF's six-game winning streak against Pacific came to an end Tuesday night at the Spanos Center where the Tigers downed the Dons, 79-70 before a crowd of 2,381. USF held a 68-67 lead with 4:09 remaining but was outscored 12-2 down the stretch. Four Dons scored in double figures, led by
Devin Watson's team-high 20 points, 17 of which came in the second half.
Uche Ofoegbu added 16,
Chase Foster matched a career high with 13 and
Tim Derksen chipped in with 12. Eric Thompson made 7-of-8 shots from the floor and scored 16 points to lead three Tigers in double figures. The Dons shot just 40 percent from the game and were just 19-of-37 from the foul line in absorbing a nine-point road loss. The Tigers shot 51 percent from the floor, including 56 percent in the second half. Pacific led 36-29 at halftime but USF outscored the Tigers 10-2 coming out of intermission to cut the lead to 40-39. The Dons took their first lead of the game at 41-40 on a pair of Watson free throws at the 16:35 mark of the second half. A pair of Foster free throws with 4:09 left gave the Dons a 68-67 lead with 4:07 remaining, but the Tigers then went on a 12-0 run keyed by three-pointers by Alec Kobre and Ray Bowles to take a 79-68 lead with :34 left. Pacific finished off the Dons at the foul line to earn their eighth win of the season.The Dons went without a field goal for the final 5:41 of the game.

Parking InformationParking is available free of charge two hours prior to tip-off until one hour after the conclusion of the game in any campus lot, with the exception of designated green parking spots and the top of Hayes-Healy garage on Golden Gate Avenue adjacent to the gymnasium.

The Hilltop Club LevelFans 21 and older can enjoy beverages and catered food options before and during designated games during the season in the Hilltop Club Level. Located in the upper mezzanine level on the south side of War Memorial at The Sobrato Center, The Hilltop Club Level will open one hour before tipoff and will remain accessible throughout the game. Beer, wine, soft drinks and catered food options will be available to all fans 21 years of age and older. Admission to the The Hilltop is priced at $25 per game. Season passes for all games with the exception of designated premium games may also be purchased for $250. Food and drink options are extra. The cost does not include a game ticket.
