KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of San Francisco men's soccer player,
Leon Schwarzer, has been named to the United Soccer Coaches 2017 Scholar All-American second team for the NCAA Division I.
Schwazer, an international business major, boasts a grade point average of 3.96. This adds another accolade to the senior's final season at USF, after earning
West Coast Conference Player of the Year, All-WCC First Team and
WCC All-Academic First Team honors. Schwarzer added six goals and nine assists for a total of 21 points in the men soccer's fantastic season, which saw the team win the WCC title and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Players on this year's Scholar All-America Teams will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom at the All-American Luncheon on January 20, 2018 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in conjunction with the 2018 United Soccer Coaches Convention.
