Chase Center Takeover Times Announced

SAN FRANCISCO – As excitement builds before the University of San Francisco men's and women's basketball programs historic takeover of Chase Center on Saturday, November 9, the USF Athletics department is pleased to officially announce the game times. The women will take on Stanford at 3:00 p.m. with the men tipping off against Princeton at 6:00 p.m., marking the first collegiate basketball games at the luxurious new home of the Golden State Warriors.

Tickets for the general public will go on sale on Wednesday, October 9 at 10:00 a.m., and may be purchased online or in person through Chase Center's box office. Tickets for the event will start at $25 dollars. Stay tuned to USFdons.com for ticketing updates and links.

The women's team returns all eight true freshmen from last year's team adding a year of experience to their resume, including seven who saw significant playing time last year.  The Dons also add six talented newcomers, including two junior college All-American transfers, two graduate transfers (including a NCAA Division II All-American), a 4-year transfer who was named the conference Freshman of the Year last season, and a true freshman.

The women's contest will pit fourth year head coach Molly Goodenbour against her alma mater and serve as the Dons 2019-20 Bay Area debut. USF opens up their season on November 5 in Greeley, Colo.

The men, under first year head coach Todd Golden, are coming off their third-straight 20-win season, the longest such streak since USF had seven-straight 20-win seasons from 1975-'76 to '81-'82.  USF boasts a talented retuning core, including three-starters from last year's team.

Highlighting the list of returners is Charles Minlend who finished second on the team in scoring last year and was recently named to the All-WCC Preseason Team. Fellow returning starters include seniors Jordan Ratinho and Jimbo Lull. Ratinho is 30 points shy of becoming the 37th player in program history to score 1,000 points and is 33 3-point field goals away from becoming the all-time leader in made 3 pointers. Lull is coming off a breakout season in which he posted career-bests across the board. The Dons welcome newcomers Khalil Shabazz (redshirted 2018-19), Isaiah Hawthorne, Josh Kunen, Jonas Visser, Justin Bieker, and Emmanuel Nwabueze.
