WBB | Former Don Rachel Howard Signs With AO Eleutheria Moshatou

MOSCHATO, Athens – Former University of San Francisco women's basketball player Rachel Howard '17 has signed to play for the AO Eleutheria Moshatou club for the 2020-21 season.
 
AO Eleutheria Moshatou is a member of the Greek Women's Basketball League, also known as the A1 National Women's Basketball League, and is the top women's professional league in Greece. Last season, AO Eleutheria Moshatou finished third in the A1 standings with a 14-6 record.
 
Howard, a two-time All-WCC honoree, is entering her fourth professional season. She finished her four year career with the Dons following a wildly successful 2016-17 campaign that saw her earn first team All-WCC accolades. That season, she became the 22nd player inn USF history to score 1,000 points, hitting the mark on a 3-point field goal against Pacific on January 14.  She finished her career 10th in points with 1,345, and third in 3-point field goals with 186.
 
Last season, Howard played for Pacisa Alcobendas in the Spanish LF2 League, where she was named to the Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LF2 Honorable Mention team. In 21 games played, she averaged 13.7 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 2.2 apg, and 1.2 spg.
 
Prior to that, Howard had a very successful season playing for AB Contern in Luxembourg.  In 25 games there, she was the league's fifth best scorer, averaging 21.8 ppg while grabbing 8.8 rpg. That year she took home All-Luxembourg League Second Team honors and was twice named the League Player of the Week.
