Women's Basketball Signs Versatile Forward Nevaeh Ferrera Horne

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Nevaeh Ferrera Horne, a transfer forward from Canada, has officially signed with the University of San Francisco women's basketball team for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

"Nevaeh is an exciting addition to our program," Goodenbour said. "She has the versatility to play multiple positions effectively and has a strong work ethic. We think we will be able to utilize her immediately, and I know she will develop in ways that will allow her to be incredibly successful."

Ferrara Horne joins the program on the Hilltop after playing the last two seasons at North Dakota. Throughout her tenure with the Fighting Hawks, she averaged 4.1 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game in 60 career games with 33 starts.

Stepping into a larger role in her sophomore season in 2024-25, Ferrera Horne appeared in 31 games, earning the start in 30 while ranking sixth on the team, averaging 5.9 points and fifth in rebounding at 2.1 boards per game. She posted a career-best 17 points on 60 percent (six-for-10) shooting and knocked down four three-pointers against St. Thomas (MN) at home on January 30. Along with her performance against the Tommies, the Regina, Saskatchewan native added seven more double-digit scoring games, with three coming in the final six contests of the campaign.

Before her time at North Dakota, Ferrera Horne averaged 14.6 points per game at Southwest Academy and was selected for the BioSteel All-Canadian Games, featuring the top 24 players in the nation. In 2022, she helped guide Team Saskatchewan to a silver medal in the Canada Summer Games.
