San Francisco Falls Short at Pacific in Series Finale

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- San Francisco jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first, highlighted by Kenny Decelle's RBI single to score TJ Rogers. A throwing error allowed two more runs to score, giving the Dons a quick 3-0 advantage.
- The Tigers responded in the third and fourth innings, taking a 5-3 lead, sparked by a two-run RBI single by Drake Bicknell.
- The Dons evened the score in the fifth as Patrick Keighran launched a two-run home run over the left-center field wall to tie the contest at five.
- The Tigers regained the lead in the following half frame, adding three more runs to go up 8-5, with Davis' go-ahead RBI single sparking the push.
- Leveling the contest, JT Amaral connected on a long two-run shot in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game at eight.
- After the Tigers rallied for three runs in the seventh to go up 12-9, the Dons answered with a Trevor Harmon solo home run and Amaral's RBI double to cut the lead to 12-11.
- The Tigers broke the game open in the bottom of the eighth, scoring four runs to extend their lead to 16-11.
- Eddison Esquivel led off the ninth with a solo homer to ignite a late push, but the Dons failed to close the gap and fell 16-12.
- As a team, San Francisco set a new season-high with five home runs, the most in a game for the Dons in over 13 years. Keighran, DeCelle, Esquivel, Harmon, and Amaral all succeeded with the long ball throughout the game.
- Esquivel delivered a strong performance at the plate, leading the team with three runs, three hits, and one RBI.
- Amaral posted his best performance of the season, going two-for-three at the plate with a home run, a walk, and a team-best three RBI.
- Keighran, Harmon, and Zack Ramppen also recorded multi-hit games, totaling two apiece and combining for four RBI and four runs scored.
San Francisco returns home to face San Jose State at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Apr. 22 at Benedetti Diamond.
