2011 SEASON: Turned in a team-best 2.60 ERA of all Dons’ pitchers with at least 10 innings on the mound this season… appeared in 20 games with one start… pitched in eight outings of one or more innings where he didn’t allowed a hit… threw a hitless inning against Lamar with two strikeouts (3/3)… turned in hitless innings against Saint Mary’s (4/8) and Portland (4/16)… went 1.2 innings at Oregon (4/18) without yielding a hit… tossed two hitless innings against Santa Clara (4/23)… blanked Loyola Marymount for an inning (5/1)… struck out two in two hitless-innings against Pepperdine (5/15)… struck out three in one inning against Cal State Bakersfield (5/24)… threw two shutout innings against Gonzaga (5/27)… pitched a one-hit, shutout inning against No. 12 UCLA in the NCAA Los Angeles Regional (6/5).
2010 SUMMER: Played for the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League champion: Bethesda Big Train… finished the summer with a 5-2 record and 2.57 ERA; pitching 49 innings.
2010 SEASON: Made 13 appearances, started seven games and struck out 21 in 33 innings of work… finished with a 7.36 ERA… gave up just one earned run in 4.1 innings with four strikeouts against Cal Poly (2/28)… struck out a season-high five in a season-high six innings against Texas San Antonio (3/7)… gave up zero unearned runs in 4.2 innings at San Diego State (3/14)… pitched three shutout innings against San Jose State (4/6).
2009 SEASON: Finished freshman year 4-1, 3.66 ERA... saw time on the mound in 24 games, with 11 starts... struck out 27 in 51.2 innings... made collegiate debut at UTSA in relief, tossing 1.0 innings with one strikeout (2/20)... first ever start and win came at UC Davis, a 2.0 inning one strikeout performance (2/24)... struck out a season high four in a 4.1 inning start at New Mexico State (3/21)... second win came at Pacific, a 3.0 inning, two strikeout game (4/7)... earned third victory at Sacramento State, a 12-7 drubbing, tossing 3.0 innings and striking out one (4/14)... fourth win came in longest outing of the season, a 6.0 inning 10-0 win over San Jose State (4/18).
PREP CAREER: Played four years of baseball at Jesuit High School... earned First Team All-League and Second Team All-State as a junior and senior... as a senior in '08 batted .391 with 18 RBI and was 6-2 with a 1.55 ERA on the mound with two complete games and 37 strikeouts... for the 2007 season, batted .377 with 20 RBI and was 6-1, 3.13 ERA with 42 strikeouts on the mound.
