2011 WEST COAST CONFERENCE SPRING ALL-ACADEMIC HONORABLE MENTION
2010 SEASON: Made 19 appearances and put in 34.2 innings of work… finished with a perfect 2-0 record with a 4.15 ERA and 19 strikeouts… threw a hitless 2.1 innings against Texas San Antonio (3/6)… struck out two in two scoreless innings against Cal State Bakersfield (3/9)… held Houston hitless for four innings (3/16)… kept UC Santa Barbara off the scoreboard for one inning (3/27)… pitched three scoreless innings at Stanford (3/29)… threw a scoreless inning at UC Davis (4/13)… retired batters in order in one inning of work at Saint Mary’s (4/17)… struck out three in four innings against San Diego (5/2)… struck out four and kept Portland off the scoreboard in 2.1 innings (5/16)… longest outing of the season was 4.2 innings at New Mexico.
PREP CAREER: Played four years of varsity baseball at Madera High School... earned 2007 Player of the Year accolades... in 2008 was named Second-Team All-League... named First-Team All-League in 2009... also played three years of football and earned Second-Team All-League in 2007... was class valedictorian after graduating with 4.0 G.P.A.... also made the President's List.
PERSONAL: Born in June of 1991 in Madera, CA... son of Todd and Maria Hinkle... goal for the season is to contribute to the team and help them win... chose USF for the coaching staff and the academics... would like to be Babe Ruth for a day... would like to either play professionally or get his Masters in mechanical engineering after graduation... favorite movie is The Hangover... favorite book is Moneyball... favorite musical artist is Rise Against... favorite food is lasagna... hobbies include golfing, fishing, camping, and going to the beach... majoring in physics.
