AFTER USF: Josh Mollerus was born October 6, 1999 in San Francisco.  He played baseball as a pitcher for the Dons from 2018 to 2022.  He batted and threw right and was 6'3" and 215 lbs. He attended the University of Oregon for one season after USF, and was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 10th round of the 2023 MLB June Amateur Draft.

2023 SEASON at University of Oregon.
Earned ABCA/Rawlings second-team All-West Region honors as well as Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 Conference recognition … Worked out of the bullpen as Oregon’s closer finishing the year 3-3 with a 3.44 ERA and 11 saves in 28 appearances … Allowed 15 runs (14 earned) on 27 hits in 36.2 innings pitched with 50 strikeouts and 18 walks … Held opposing hitters to a .201 batting average … Allowed just four of 12 inherited runners to score (33.3 percent) … Finished sixth all-time in single-season saves and games finished (25) at Oregon … Tied for the Pac-12 lead in both saves and games finished … Tied for 14th in the nation in saves …  Did not allow a run in first 19 innings pitched (15 appearances) … Five saves came in Pac-12 Conference games, tied for the third most in the conference … Went 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA in 12 appearances in league games … Allowed seven runs on 12 hits in 16.1 innings with 21 Ks and seven walks … Held opposing Pac-12 hitters to a .194 batting average.

Played four seasons (2019-2022) … Appeared in 68 games, making nine starts … Finished 4-9 with five saves and a 5.60 ERA … In 135.0 career innings, struck out 126 batters and walked 46.

2022 (SENIOR): Appeared in 24 games for the Dons coming in as a closer…Collected 4 wins and 5 saves finishing 5th in the conference for saves… Tallied 52 strikeouts with a season high of 6 against Pepperdine on 4/14/2022…Pitched 36.1 innings compiling a 3.96 ERA.

2021 (JUNIOR): Appeared in 18 games for the Dons pitching a total of 46 innings and tallying 39 strikeouts on the season…Recorded his season high of five strikeouts against Stanford on 3/4/2021.

**2020 (SOPHOMORE): Threw in three games out of the bullpen in the Dons shortened season ... Did not allow a run in either of his last two appearances, versus Mount St. Mary's (March 3) and Sacramento State (March 10) ... Recorded a strikeout against both the Mountaineers and the Hornets while not issuing a walk in any of his appearances ... Made his season debut at San Jose State on Feb. 25 ... Had two earned runs in 1 1/3 innings of work with two strikeouts and no walks across his three appearances (13.50 ERA). 

2019 (FRESHMAN): Made 23 appearances with four starts on the mound as an important part of the Dons bullpen in his first year of college baseball ... Did not allow a run in more than half of his appearances (12) and closed the year with a 1.42 ERA in his final seven games ... Had at least four strikeouts on five occasions, including a season-high five in two games: April 16 at Nevada and May 19 versus CSUN ... Became the Dons midweek starter in April, making three consecutive Tuesday starts against Stanford, Nevada and UC Davis ... He worked into the sixth inning in his starts three times, going a season-long 5 2/3 twice versus UC Davis, on April 23 and May 14 ... Held opponents to a .268 batting average and had 33 strikeouts against 20 walks on the year ... Was fifth on the team with a 5.26 ERA ... Did not allow a run in any of the first three outings of his career, each one inning long ... Made his career debut on Opening Day at San Diego State, throwing a shutout inning of relief in the eighth (Feb. 15).

PRIOR TO USF: Attended Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose, CA, helping lead the Bells to the Championship game of the California Interscholastic Federation Central Coast Section Division I playoffs as a senior in 2018 ... Was ranked as a national top-500 recruit, including being among the top-200 in California and the 55th-best Right-Handed Pitcher in the Golden State, according to "Perfect Game" ... "Perfect Game" gave him a grade of 9 out of 10, which on its scale meant, "Potential top-10 round pick and/or highest level college prospect" ... Posted a 1.10 ERA, 2-0 record and seven saves in 15 appearances for the Bells in 2018 ... Had a better-than 6-to-1 strikeouts-to-walks ratio with 44 Ks against only seven walks ... Held opponents to a miniscule .146 batting average against in 38 1/3 innings of work.
