Cliff Scheffel, a 20 year old sophomore and accounting specialist. Cliff comes to us from Alton High in Alton, Illinois where he was a three year veteran of his high school team. The Don Golf Team now stands at 7 wins and only 3 losses. One of the wins came against Sonoma State as the Don Golfers easily handled Sonoma. The low medalist for the Dons was Cliff Scheffel with a 76. Jim Diaz, and Skip Latham each had 77. The Dons also met Chico State but were rained out after nine holes. They are busy preparing for the WCAC Invitational Golf Tourney to be held this May. USF looks ready to recapture the WCAC Golf Championship that they had in 1971. Best of luck to Del Henry and his team.

The USF golf team was victorious over Sonoma State University is a match on Thursday of last week, winning by the score of 21 to 6. Low Medalist for USF was Jim Diaz with 77, while low for Sonoma State was Doug Smith with 81. On Thursday and Friday of this week, the golf team is participating in the Chico State Tee-Off Tourney at California State University at Chico. Representing the Dons in this tournament will be Jim Diaz, Mark Ritchie, Skip Latham, Gary Lisketjon, Cliff Scheffel, Dennis McDevitt and Coach Del Henry (TheFoghorn).
