Career Highlights: Offensive and defensive starter for four years. Team Captain in 1966 and 1967. USF Team MVP in 1966. Most Valuable Lineman in 1967.

Biography: Albertazzi was a four-year letter winner on the Hilltop playing varsity football from 1964-1947. He played on both sides of the line of scrimmage and started on both the offensive and defensive lines. He was named Team Captain in both 1966 and 1967, and was named team MVP in 1966. In addition to his football prowess, Albertazzi served on the Board of Student Control, was an honors student for Alpha Sigma Nu Fraternity, and graduated Cum Laude in 1968. After USF Albertazzi served in the U.S. Army for 25 years.

Favorite USF Memories: “I remember the long practices at Olerich Field, and playing games at Kezar Stadium.”

The USF Student-Athlete Experience: “The best thing about being a student-athlete was the school spirit and the friendships that I made at USF.”

Life After USF: Albertazzi enjoyed a 25 year career in the US Army. He is now a retired Rank Colonel, a small business owner, and a member of the South Lake Tahoe Police Department.
