Jennifer Kokubun, a native of Maui, was named to the Hawaii High School Athletic Hall of Honor in 1987, and played volleyball for one season at USF. She graduated with a Bachelors in 1991.
Junior Jennifer Kokobun led the Dons with 21 kills and 22 digs on the night game. Both junior Melanie Kaiser and sophomore Lisa Tchannen added 16 kills. Going into last week, Kaiser and Tchannen were ranked as two of the top "killers" in West Coast Conference action. They are ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively, and only one hit separates them. Overall, Tchannen's 364 kills is the 5th-highest season total in Don history, and needs only 20 more kills to slide into 3rd place on the season kill list (TheFoghorn).
