Against Santa Clara, USF lead at halftime by 12 points leading 39-27. The Dons went on and coasted to a 72-56 victory. High scorer was Lisa Daughtrey with 20, followed by Sue Corder with 14. On the weekend of March 4th and 5th the Dons traveled down south where they faced UC Irvine and Pepperdine University. In the first game against UC Irvine, the Dons took the lead midway through the second half and went on to win it in a close one 63-60. Linda Walsh was high scorer with 20, and Sue Corder was second with 13. The key to this victory was team rebounding. At Pepperdine, USF played extremely well but ended up losing a tough one 76-71. The Dons had 4 players in double figures led by Sue Corders 19, Lisa Baptista 16, Lisa Daughtrey 12, and Melissa Melton also with 12. Even though the Dons are losing 4 key seniors: Melissa Melton, Kim Bachman, Lisa Baptista and Lisa Daughtrey. Two out standing players, Linda Walsh and Sue Corder, are returning (TheFoghorn).
