Career Highlights:Â Four-year letter for Women's Tennis
Biography: Kovasala played tennis for four years on the Hilltop. She came along when more female athletes were receiving scholarships. After graduating from USF, Kovasala continued her passion for athletics and became a Physical Education teacher in Florida.
Why Kovasala Chose USF:Â "I was offered a tennis scholarship at a time when collegiate athletic programs were finally opening their doors to young women athletes. It was an exciting time for all of us and I can honestly say we helped pave the path for future generations."
Favorite USF Memories:Â "Playing in the WCC Tournament in Ojai, and playing against Stanford and Cal were all awesome experiences. Traveling in the school van with my teammates was always a fun time, as we spent quality time together and I cherish the memories."
The USF Student-Athlete Experience:Â "The best thing about being a student-athlete on the Hilltop was representing USF. I take pride in saying that I graduated from the University of San Francisco, and proudly wear my green and gold."
Life After USF:Â Kovasala is a Physical Education teacher in Boca Rotan, Florida.Â
