Sophomore Lisa Tchannen also set a new WCC record this season for kills in a three game match. It came against Portland where she pounded down 25 kills. Both Tchannen and Kaiser were named to the WCC's All- Conference 2nd-team. Senior Deanne Anastas finished the year and her career here at USF ranked 4th in career digs (696) and games played (326), 3rd in career digs (670) and blocks (212). She is also ranked 6th with 65 career aces.

Tchannen needs only 63 more kills in these last four games to move into 4th place behind Kaiser, senior Deanne Anastas, and Schindler. Anastas has become the fourth player in USF history to play in 300 career games. She is also edging toward 200 career blocks.

Sharon Mellen, Dianne Anastas, and Ann Podoesta, who all played basketball in high school, will see if they can make the Cagers basketball program. They are all excited to give it their best (TheFoghorn).

Deanne Nocetti is the great niece of Jack C. Hurliman. In 1991, she received a Degree from the University of San Francisco where she played volleyball for four years. Immediately after graduation, Nocetti was appointed as Membership Director at USF’s Koret Health and Recreation Center which served a community of over 3,000 members. She was selected as volleyball coach at San Francisco State University, University of San Francisco, and Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory. In 1995, Nocetti was hired as Office Manager and Sales Assistant for Newsweek magazine’s San Francisco Bureau.

After several years at Newsweek, Nocetti and her family moved from the San Francisco area to the Sacramento area. She and her husband Ron, a former Dons baseball player, are the parents of four children. Nocetti currently works part-time for an Accident Reconstruction company in Carmichael and coaches high school volleyball (HurlimanFoundation).
