Also traveling tor the Dons was freshman Kevin Coghlan, who finished in a three-way tie for 80th place. Although he echoed the sentiment that the course was difficult, he felt that the Dons are now focused on what the future holds for them this season. "This first tournament was food for the whole team," said Coghlan, while preparing for his first collegiate golf experience. Coghlan knew that the level of play would mean having to step up.
"I expected high competition," said Coghlan. My main goal is not to be to be intimidated out there." Although he could have done better, personally, Coghlan said "I just want to get out there and play golf and have fun."

Coghlan earned a West Coast Conference Scholar-Athlete Award at USF.
