USF women's tennis team is on strong. Led by Cici Louie a formerly Nationally Ranked Player in the juniors. She is undefeated in singles this year, having defeated SF State #1 player 6-1, 6-4 and UOP's #1 player 6-2, 6-3. SF State beat USF 8-1 but there were many close sets and evenly contested matches. We barely lost to tough UOP team 51/2 to 31/2. Our #6 singles player Joyce Crowley lost in three tough sets. This match could have gone either way. The #3 doubles team of Crowley and Hambarzumian split sets with UOP and had to have the match called because of darkness.
