A 6' 4", 194 lb goalkeeper, Emerson DeOliverioa spent his first season at USF as a Redshirt. He attended John F. Kennedy High School in Normandy Park, WA and was First Team All-Seamount League in High School. His team made it to the State Semi-Finals. He also was an All-League selection in Football. He transferred to Seattle University. 

2009: Emerson started in goal in all seven matches he appeared in. He recorded 28 saves during the season and was in goal for the 1-0 victory over Oregon State on September 19.

2008: Emerson started eight matches in goal, posting a 6-1-1 record with a 0.49 goals against average, an .875 save percentage, and four shutouts. His goals against average was the sixth-lowest among all Division I goalies. He picked up a career-high five saves in both the 1-0 shutout of Cleveland State on August 30 and the 1-0 blanking of Simon Fraser on the road on September 27. He also earned shutouts at Concordia University in California on September 19 and at Portland on October 17.

2007: DeOliveira started ten matches for the Redhawks as the goalkeeper, posting a 8-1-1 record with a 0.60 goals against average and five shutouts. He posted a shutout in his first match with Seattle University, a 3-0 win over Humboldt State on Aug. 24. He also posted shutouts against Notre Dame de Namur on Sept. 9, at Western Washington on Sept. 17, against UC San Diego on Sept. 28, and against Western Washington on Oct. 25. He earned a season-high four saves in SU's 2-1 win over rival Seattle Pacific on Oct. 13. De Oliveira earned Second Team All-GNAC recognition for his performance during the season.

USF: Spent 2005 season as redshirt and did not play in 2006 season.

Kennedy HS: First Team All-League in leading squad to state semifinals. Also played football and was All-League selection in that sport.

Personal: Emerson is the son of Marco and Jean DeOliveira. Born September 11, 1986, he is majoring in Marketing (SeattleUAthletics).
