USF cross country veteran Tim Markey led the USF pack with an excellent individual accomplishment of 38:29 minutes over the hilly 6.2 mile course. Also racing competitively was the Dons own Jim Curran, running for his second year on the team, and pulling down his best race in an outstanding finishing time of 42:41. Running not far behind was perhaps USF most consistent athlete Rick Taitano, running his toughest race and placing with a42:43. And not far off, lo and behold, appeared two more USF cross country talents, Mike Masterson and Eric "The Don", both coming across the line at 43:21.
Upon perhaps the toughest X- Country course Santa Clara has to offer against its toughest opponents, X-Country veterans Tim Markey and Bob Schmidt finished first and second for the Dons, pulling down Taitano, running his season best performance of 40:20 minutes (TheFoghorn).
