    Men's Basketball (1959-1960)
Eight lettermen provide Peletta with a solid nucleus. Three returning starters — forwards Charley Range (6-0), Bob Ralls (6-4), and guard Bob Gaillard (6-1)—who finished one, two, three in scoring last season, highlight the monogram winners. Also back are front-liners Hal Hurban (6-5) and Bill Gallagher (6-5), along with guards Bill Connolly (6-1), Frank Nolan (5-10), and Glen Wilson (5-8). Connolly was a member of the nationally ranked 1957-1958 Don quintet. Lloyd Moffat (6-1), an All-League guard from Olympia College in Bremerton, Washington, tops a quartet of JC transfers. Henry Johnson, a 6-2 jumping-jack from Los Angeles, and two centers, 6-5 Andy Garth from Monterey Peninsula College, and hulking 6-6 Pat Reilly from Oakland CC, round out the list.

For the undersized Dons, sophomores John Galten and Andy Garth, each 6-5, take turns combating the Miami colossus with Galten the likely starter. There is no truth to the rumor the USF centers have been working all week on a move to slither between McCoy's legs and drive in for a basket, according to insiders. Bob Gaillard, who smashed in 51 points for the three Hawaii games, and Lloyd Moffat, a polished JC transfer, open in the USF back court. Vets Bill Connolly and Frank Nolan will be ready for relief (TheFoghorn).
