Incidentally, two former Ignatians will be battling for the right halfback. Murray Shea, a transfer from Santa Clara, who is a fast, shifty, hard-running back, and Jack Kelly a speedster from Bob Kleckner's frosh. Shea likewise is a brilliant southpaw passer. Murray Shea's left-handed tosses should take the rival teams by surprise especially within scoring territory. Shea isn't a line smasher but is speedy and shifty and can kick effectively from the port side.

Murray Shea looked the part of a good back when he whipped a pass to McCaffrey for a man- sized advance. In case you're interested, the pass was followed by a double lateral, and, what is even more interesting, the play was all preconceived, with a net gain of some thirty yards.

Murray Shea Given Legal Scholarship Announcement was made by the School of Law that the scholarship offered by the Very Reverend Father President to the student from the College Department entering the School of Law with the highest pre-legal average was awarded to Murray J. Shea. Murray Shea is remembered as the highest ranking student of last year's senior class in the College Department and the Commencement orator. By pen and speech he distinguished himself in the university, and gives promise of being an outstanding law student (TheFoghorn).
