Career Highlights:
Two-time letter winner for Women's Soccer; Davies Scholar Award winner.

Biography: Almashy was a two-time letter winner for the Dons women’s soccer team, playing as a left midfielder. She came to the Hilltop all the way from Florida because she had a passion for soccer and wanted to be a part of building a legacy on the Hilltop. She graduated in 1989 with a degree in History and a minor in Theatre. Almashy is currently the Equity Program Planner for the School District of Palm Beach County, after 23 years of teaching K-12 students. 

Why Almashy Chose USF: “I was able to play soccer for a Division One school in a beautiful city and get a top notch education.”

Favorite USF Memories: “My best memories were the road trips in the van.”

The USF Student-Athlete Experience: “Being a part of something greater than yourself. Besides our team and our individual role on the team, we are now a part of a legacy with privilege and honor. I feel fortunate to have a place in USF's legacy, and to be a part of something that lives on and grows.”

Life After USF: Almashy works for the School District of Palm Beach County and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Vanderbilt.
