With two outs and a three run deficit, the Dons again reached into the bag of miracles. Haberlin reached first on an error by SMC first baseman Cory Wafer and stole second. Taylor then hustled down the line to beat out an infield single, and stepped on Wafer's foot to disrupt the action. Haberlin, on a nice piece of heads-up base running, saw his opportunity and raced home for the winning run. John Brown recorded the win (3-5) in relief, while Chad Baldwin suffered the no-decision. The late inning heroics were forgotten on Saturday as USF returned to its sub-par playing level in dropping both games of the double header, 5-2 and 5-4, respectively (TheFoghorn).
