5' 9", 165 lbs, Dessard was born in Saumur, France and attended Chevrollier High School. He was a crafty midfielder can control the ball in midfield and distribute to attackers. Also works hard on defense and on pressuring the ball in opponents' possession.
2005: Scored two goals and added five assists in his freshman season, both goals were important...knocked in the first goal in a 3-1 win vs. San JoseState...second goal was goal that sent crucial game at Portland into overtime in eventual 3-2 win...named to WCC All-Freshman team. Played for SCO Angers in France, Regional Cup Champions...team captain, finalist in High School soccer nationals...Visser says: "Ben's creativity and versatility add a lot to our midfield play.
