Gatt graduated in 1979 with a Degree in Political Science, and from USF Law School in 1982. He works at Mission College in Santa Clara as an Adjunct Professor in Fire Protection Technology.  He previously served as a Captain and Paramedic for the Santa Clara Fire Department for 24 years.
