Joe Lanfranco graduated from USF in 1964 with a Bachelor's in Production Management. He played basketball for four seasons and was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and the Block Club.
Among the basketball standouts, registering as Freshmen at USF, were Jim Brovelli, 6-0 guard who was San Francisco's Player of the Year last season at St. Ignatius High School, and 6-7 center David Lee, an All-Conference star at Modesto High School. Both Brovelli and Lee were high school honor students. All-Nothern California star Rich Tunny, a 6-7 forward from San Joaquin Memorial High in Fresno, and two San Francisco All-City players, Pat Tarantion, a 6 0 guard out of Sacred Heart, and Joe Lanfranco, a 6-4 forward from Riordan, also are attending USF (TheFoghorn).
