"These two games are really important," commented fresh man Jennifer Quinn, "and I think the team is really going to pull together and make it happen." On Sunday, USF defeated Texas Christian University by a score of 4- 0. The game took place at St. Mary's as part of an invitational which also included North Carolina and Santa Clara. The first goal was scored at the 31:40 mark by sophomore forward Kishandee Green on an assist from freshman midfielder Quinn. Green also scored an unassisted goal with under seven minutes remaining in the match. Quinn went on to add to her stats by scoring a goal of her own 10 minutes into the second half. Her goal was assisted by fellow freshman, forward Erin Terbush. "It felt great to be able to contribute to the team," Quinn said. "The goal came after a big build-up in action and I'm just glad I was able to finally put the ball in." "Jennifer Quinn played very well and we will be seeing much more of her in the future," Coach Verhees said. "She has been a great surprise for us (TheFoghorn)."
