Mindy Falor played soccer with the Dons for one season in 1996. In 2008, she became the Head Coach of the Shorecrest, WA High School Girls Soccer team, the Scots.

As a player, Mindy Falor, now Mindy Dalziel was a four-year starter at center midfield for the Scots and helped the team capture back-to-back Class 3A State Titles in 1992 and 1993.

“It’s been a dream of mine to coach here and give back to the program that helped make me successful,” said Dalziel, a physical education teacher at Lake Forest Park Elementary.

Dalziel got her first taste of coaching as an assistant at Northwest Soccer Camps on Whidbey Island throughout high school and college. The Western Washington University graduate has also coached club soccer.

“I think female coaches can bring a different point of view to soccer,” Dalziel said. “The few times I’ve had female coaches, they made a strong impression on me. I’d like to be that type of role model to these young ladies (HeraldNet).”
