Unlike most NCAA men's basketball teams, the USF Dons squad chose not to open its season with the standard cream puff opponent Instead, they decided to start the season off against the Adelaide 36ers, a team who won its pro league in Australia. "It was a really tough opener," Dons Head Coach Jim Brovelli said after his team posted a 85-78 victory Saturday night. Brovelli adds that he was very pleased with his team's performance especially since the 36ers were a very talented group of players composed of former college players whose average age is 24. Brovelli adds that James Bell, a transfer student from Bellevue Community College in Washington, also did a very good job (TheFoghorn).
