Highlight of the season was the 30-20 win over the Santa Clara Yearlings: Previously undefeated, the Bronco Colts could not halt the end sweeps of Dando, Chess or the passing of Tony Calvello. Standouts for the Donlets in the forward wall were Lou Simas, Francis Monti, Tom Montero, Tim Moriarty, Ray Brown, Bob Schaeffer. James DeBernardi., Roy Bruna, and Ivan Slajchert. The backfield found quarterbacks Calvello and Garcia, halfbacks Dando, Chess, Cecil Helms, John Thiel, and fullback Leo Madden spearheading the attack (TheDon).
