Errors have plagued the USF baseball team all year and the third game of the series was no different as an error cost Greg Wieser and the Dons a victory. The Dons lost 3-1 and plummeted to 2-11 overall on the year. Jim Yertzell accounted for the only Don run as he belted the first home run of his USF career.Â
A productive season at the plate for Sambel will be of utmost importance. Bowman says "Arnie must produce." As far as a starter at third base, it's a battle between seniors Jim Yertzell and Ernie Heath. Both players have good fielding range. The job will go to whoever is hitting the best (TheFoghorn).
