A native of Allentown, PA, Robert Weibel was a member of the Block Club and the Marketing Club. He graduated in Marketing in 1952.
Ordinarily quite amenable, Weibel became one of the meanest characters in the game at his defensive end position. He sometimes formed a ukulele duet with Tringali, and will have a June destination of Allentown to become a legend with the rest of his 1951 teammates (TheDon).
Bob Weibel was a 1952 graduate of the University of San Francisco where he was a member of the Dons 1951 undefeated football team which included 4 future NFL Hall of Famers. Bob subsequently served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, he worked initially for J.C. Penney's then for Moore Business Forms and Graphic Controls. He then owned and operated Harmony Business Forms until finally working for David Wilson's Men Shop. Bob was a longtime member of the Cherry Hill Pine Barons Chorus. He was also a longtime parishioner and usher at St. Rose of Lima Church. He enjoyed playing bridge and golf with the 65 club in Haddonfield as well as his membership at Royal Fitness Health Club (MorningCall).
