The Intramural "Moonlight" football team could not mount a drive, and were forced to punt the football away. The next few series of downs for both clubs, were battles between the great hands of "Hapa Haoles" flanker, Mark Thomas, and the speed and agility of Mario Paolini and Dennis Yamamoto, of the "Moonlight Ranch Athletic Club". Then with 2:25 left in the first half, the "Moonlight" club ended its scoring drought when quarterback Delagnes hit Rick Restani, cutting across the end zone for a twenty-five yard touchdown toss. On the conversion try, Delagnes spotted Yamamoto alone in paydirt territory for a score.

WOMEN'S CREW! Its ultimate success will depend on its support from the school. "I think we will be nationally competitive by 1997," stated an optimistic Head Coach Mario Paolini. "Our girls are really hungry and by the time they are seniors . . . well, we won't talk national championships yet." The team practices out at Stowe Lake in the Park every morning in bicycle boats to build up their stamina, with runs and weight lifting in the afternoon. Coach Paolini's staff consists of only one assistant coach, Mike "Lefty" Malekos, a former surfer, swimmer, and technical director for the movie "Jaws." Says Coach Paolini, "With Mike's knowledge about water and waves, he's an invaluable asset to our program." Assistant Coach Malekos also serves as coxswain and head recruiter (TheFoghorn).
