Two-time letter winner for Baseball

Biography: Kim was an outstanding teammate who loved competing for the Dons and legendary Coach Dante Benedetti. He enjoyed the “play anyone, anytime” mentality of Coach Benedetti that saw them competing against competition at all levels. He loved representing the University of San Francisco and the team mentality and outstanding culture that was instilled in all team members by Coach Benedetti.

Why Kim Chose USF: “For the opportunity to and pursue a Communications Degree at a prestigious university."

Favorite USF Memories: “We had great road trips to play Nevada, Reno. Coach Benedetti played against anyone and everyone, D1, D2, D3. In those days there was no limit.”

The USF Student-Athlete Experience: “Getting the chance to represent USF. I was just happy to be able to play baseball at USF for Dante Benedetti.”

Life After USF: Kim majored in Communications and went on the become an Associate Producer/Stage Manager for both KGO and KPIX television in San Francisco. Other career pursuits include his service as a Firefighter and EMT in San Jose and as a substitute teacher and baseball coach at Castro Valley High School. He is the proud father of his son and daughter, who both following his footsteps as USF graduates.
