Volleyball (1985-1986)

Sophomore Denise Pardoen played especially well for the Dons, scoring 11 wills and 16 digs. And coming into the St. Mary's match, outside hitter Mary Toole was averaging 3.96 digs per match, good for the 11th best in the country. In losing to the Pilots 11-15, 15-5. 16-14, 15-7, USF continually put themselves in a hole. They fell behind 0-8 in the first and second games and 0-7 in the decisive fourth game. Still they pulled out the first game when Mary Toole and Sharon Mellen took control of the play at the net (TheFoghorn).
