University of San Francisco Athletics

As a member of the Northern California Inter-Collegiate Rifle Conference, the USF RifleTeam competed with Stanford, Cal, Santa Clara, Cal-Davis.and San Jose. Unlike most sports, riflery has no specific season, but continues throughout the school year.  A  match entails three basic shooting positions: prone, kneeling, and offhand, and the scores based on an aggregate total for the three positions. The team member shoots for a possible one-hundred points in each position, and after the marksman has fired his set of targets, the highest aggregate totals are added to decide the winning team (TheDon).
