Leading hitters on the squad are Al Souza, .314, Bill Gallagher, .300, Al Kirkes, .297, and John Alaura, .282. If the boys could put their hits together, they might score more runs as to date they have only tallied 41 against the enemies' 110. A good explanation for this is that USF has stranded 113 men in a dozen contests. When questioned about his chances for the season, McGlynn glanced at his boys tossing and fielding the baseball and replied: "We're a good hitting club and we show very good fielding.
