Pitchers: Carl "the Bear" Boyer—What strong armed Carl lacks in head he makes up for with arm. Last year he compiled the third best won lost record in the country (12-1). He will anchor this year's staff with his B-B throwing right arm. Burch was the Don's strongest starting pitcher, but next year Carl Boyer and Joe Gualco should be the mound mainstays.

On Thursday San Francisco State tripped the Dons 6-4. Carl Boyer took his second loss in a row as three Don errors in the first inning put him three runs behind. The Green and Gold spent the rest of the game playing catch-up but could only nick State hurlers for five hits (TheFoghorn).
