Eugene Overton graduated in 1957 with a Bachelor's in Economics. He played basketball his freshman year and baseball his sophomore year. He was a member of Scabbard and Blade, the Publicity Club, the Game Committee, and was Class Vice President his sophomore year.
The sleeping North Bayers finally lived up to their potential as they routed the previously unbeaten Hilltoppers 32-0. Gene Overton, Joe Silva and Dave Traversi stood out for the winners. Clark sparkled for the losers. The Wildcats downed the fading Spooks in a close game, but the star of the game was little Vern Angelli, who put on the best flag snatching exhibition so far this year. Bob Roemer also looked good for the losers, while Don Horogan turned in his usual fine game for the rough and tumble Wildcats (TheFoghorn).
