Negoesco, who enters his 25th season. As Coach Negoesco remarked recently. "We're going to have a lot more experience than we did in 1985, and IÂ expect we'll make far fewer mistakes. And I certainly don't see us encountering last season's string of injuries." The team's defense is centered around senior goalkeeper Mark Powell, who has an excellent 1.27 goals against average over the past three seasons. Look for Mark to have an outstanding year in the nets. The fullback line is led by Boardman and sophomore John Doyle, a tall defender (6' 3") who is a real force in the air. Also prevalent in the back line will be starters Alan Bailey, Bemie Murphy, and Julian Kowalski.
The Don defense dominated the second half as senior goalkeeper and four-year starter Mark Powell kept his season perfect. The defensive backfield of Doyle, Julian Kowalski, Bemie Murphy, and Alan "Caveman" Bailey has handled all comers, as well as contributing two goals to the cause. Senior midfielder Theo Narvestad finished the scoring in the second half on a pass from freshman Ola Henmo (TheFoghorn).
