The University of San Francisco varsity invades the Nevada Wolfpack quintet for the first time in four years Friday and Saturday nights, February 22-23 respectively in the Nevada U Pavillion, Reno, Nevada. The Wolfpack will be a 3-1 favorite to whip the Don, but anything can happen and we are hoping it happens for the best. Headed by Marleky, spark plug forward, the Nevada team consists of Dodge, O'Shaughnessy, Mackay, and Gillis. Robert McClure will not be able to play due to scholastic difficulties. Coach "Tiny" Bussenius sends his starting team which will be composed of John Desmond, Jack Flaherty, Harold Beveridge, Billy Gibson, Leroy Peters, and Kenny Robinson.

The University of San Francisco plays host to the Indians from Stanford this evening in Civic Auditorium. This marks the second meeting of the teams this year, with the Dons copping the first tilt in a high scoring affair, 50-39. In that game Don Giesen was the leading factor in the Dons attack, and now that Don is in the service, the Hilltoppers will have to replace the scoring power they have lost. Coach Tiny Bussenius places his hopes in the hands of Hal Beveridge, the frosh sensation who has potted an average of 10 points a game since he joined the team late in the season. In case Beveridge is not on his game, Leroy Peters and Johnny Desmond are to be relied upon to take up the slack (TheFoghorn).
