Shamell Stallworth (6'5''-G/F-1980, played in 1999-2003, currently in Brazil) was not able to help Caxias do Sul Basquete in their game against Paschoalotto/Bauru in the Brazilian NBB. Despite his very good performance in Saturday night's game Stallworth was the top scorer with 18 points. He has relatively good stats this season 13.2ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.5apg. Stallworth is a naturalized Brazilian (Eurobasket).

High scoring off-guard can fill it up with outside shooting or in transition. A pure shooter that can score points in bunches.

JUNIOR: Off-guard had by far his best season in green and gold and was on a torrid clip over the last month of the season...was USF's leading scorer over the last six contests with an average of 19.2 points over that span when he shot 56% from the floor... had his career high of 28 points in the WCC tournament game at San Diego...he nailed 11 of 17 shots from the floor in that contest after scoring 24 points vs. Portland on 8-11 scoring in the regular season finale...averaged 12.2 points per game and 4.5 rebounds, ranking 13th in the WCC in scoring.

SOPHOMORE: Established himself as one of the WCC's top three-point shooters, nailing 47.9% of his attempts (23-48) in league play and 40.7% in all games...his percentage in league was second among all players...played in 29 games, with 20 starts, averaging 8.0 points per contest...scored a then career high 22 points in season opener vs. Nevada and scored 20 points (making 6-7 from 3-pt. range) vs. St. Mary's (12/31/01)...also hit 5 of 7 treys in game at Gonzaga Feb. 9...hit two free-throws with 0:08 remaining to give USF 90-89 double overtime win over Fresno State...after the season played well in summer exhibition tour of Spain and Canary Islands.

FRESHMAN: Played in 26 games with three late season starts... scored a career high 15 points in first league game at Gonzaga and also vs. San Francisco State...also scored in double figures vs. UCSB, Nebraska, Green Bay and at Santa Clara...shot 35.8% from three-point range nailing 24 of 68 attempts...played a season high 27 minutes in win at Santa Clara...fifth on the team in scoring, second best to Tucker among the team's freshmen.

HIGH SCHOOL: An excellent athlete who also played tennis and football at Fresno's Washington Union High... averaged 22.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists as a senior and 20.5 in his prep career...named First Team All-Valley... leading scorer in the North-South Slam-N-Jam Athletic and Academic Showcase with 34 points...also played in the EA Sports Prep Live national All-Star game in Redwood City.

Stallworth was a four time letter winner appeared in 112 games making 66 starts...in four seasons he averaged 9.7 points per game with 3.2 rebounds per game and 1.5 assists per contest...he shot 44.8 percent from the field...in his freshman season ('99-00) he played in 26 games, scoring 147 points, he went 53-for-121 from the field shooting 43.8 percent...his numbers only improved from there, ins his senior campaign he played in 29 games, making 21 starts, he shot 46.3 percent from the field and averaged a career-best 12.6 points per game while dishing out 1.9 assists...for his career he has scored 1,087 points which still ranks 27th all-time...deadly from beyond the arc he shot 39.3 percent from long range going 153-for-389...the 153 made 3-point field goals ranks fifth All-Time at USF.
